In October 1987, Claude Dumais and Christian Giard, as newly qualified notaries, founded Dumais & Giard. Their first offices were located on Masson Street in Montreal, and a year later the firm moved to its present location on Sherbrooke Street. Over the years, the firm has known consistent growth, and to respond to the needs of its clientele, the cofounders welcome Mtre Genevi\u00e8ve Godin, specialized in capacities and persons law as well as succession law.<\/p>\n

Concerned about the future of the profession, the cofounders acted on several occasions as training supervisors, and welcomed Mtre Josianne Gelfusa as a new team member. In May 2017, Mtre Genevi\u00e8ve Godin and Mtre Josianne Gelfusa became co-owners of the firm. Dumais & Giard has earned an enviable position in its fields of expertise thanks to the exceptional service delivered by its team of professionals. Driven by sustained growth, Dumais & Giard welcomed Mtre Dany Alwan in August 2018. Mtre Alwan became co-owner of the firm in January 2021.<\/p>\n
